To sports fans everywhere –

We wake up every day at Fanatics with the mission to fuel the passion of sports fans and help you create lasting bonds with fellow fans – rain or shine, win or lose.  We are 6,000 employees strong who deeply love what we do. To move at the speed of sports and serve all local fan bases well, we now operate in 25 offices and facilities across 4 continents.  This includes 11 States in our home field, the U.S.  Our broad geographic footprint has given us a close-up view to the very serious health crisis and life disruption caused by the Coronavirus.

With this perspective, Fanatics is deeply committed to the health and safety of its employees, customers and the communities in which we all live and work. As a result, we have been adopting “social distancing” strategies across our entire company to do our part to “flatten the curve” of Coronavirus and to lighten the load on our heroes in healthcare and everyone on the front lines of this pandemic.  To be sure you know this isn’t just corporate speak – Fanatics was amongst the first companies to:

1. Adopt a blanket “work from home” strategy for our office employees.

2. Close our retail venues and stores, 56 in total, to avoid ongoing gatherings of fans.

3. Implement “social distancing” and extensive sanitizing strategies across all our shipping centers, apparel production facilities and customer service centers.

4. Prohibit all employee business travel as well as any outside business visitors to any of our offices or facilities to minimize social interactions.

We applaud our partners at all sports leagues, teams and associations as they quickly adopted “social distancing” by putting games on hold – as this clearly prioritizes the safety of fans, communities and athletes first.  And as a deep sports fan, I am also thankful as our league partners find “non-contact” ways to continue operations, such as the NFL recently opening free agency and the NBA making the NBA League Pass game archive available to everyone, to provide some sports content and banter in the absence of live games – and some much needed normalcy and diversion in the face of pervasive news on the pandemic.  

While we have temporarily closed our venue and retail stores – the eCommerce sites we power remain operational and we have never been more committed to serving our fans. In these times of financial uncertainty, we will also strive to provide even more value to you than ever.  

While all the things we’re doing to prioritize health and safety create a higher degree of difficulty to operate, our team has never been more committed to serving fans and we are all working hard to continue to meet our promised delivery dates.  In the weeks and months ahead, we will let you know any developments that disrupt our ability to serve you well online. 

I hope you and your family remain safe – and as global governments, institutions, companies and individuals team up to defeat this foe, we can all look forward to brighter days ahead.
