Known for his pride and humanitarianism, Roberto Clemente was one of baseball's natural stars. During his career, he earned 4 batting titles and amassed 3,000 hits. He was named NL MVP in 1966. Clemente was best known for his unforgettable performance in the 1971 World Series, where he batted .414. Tragically, his life and career were cut short, when he was killed in a plane crash while flying relief supplies to Nicaraguan earthquake victims, he was only 38.
