Officially Licensed Made By: Legendary Sports Prints Josh and The Babe is part of a Fine Art Giclee series on canvas. It is based on an original painting by sports artist Bill Purdom. Josh Gibson broke into the Negro League when he was 17 with the Homestead Grays, near the end of the 1929 season. At that time, Babe Ruth was still hitting well over 40 home runs and batting over a .300 average per season with the New York Yankees. This elegant art piece depicts the two greats on the field.
