Hockey icon Bobby Clarke had a captivating smile, one with almost a dozen teeth missing. As the team captain of the Philadelphia Flyers during the 1970s, Clarke led his club to back-to-back Stanley Cup titles in 1974 and '75. A fierce competitor who sported jersey No. 16, Clarke earned many accolades during his 15 seasons in the NHL including the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP in 1973, '75 and '76. A four-time All-Star, Clarke was known for his aggressive style of play which made him one of the best checkers in the league. He accomplished all of this despite being a diabetic, someone who routinely downed one bottle of Coca-Cola and three spoonfuls of dissolved sugar before each game. Between periods, he would drink half a glass of orange juice with sugar added. ''Whatever it takes to play'' could very well have been Clarke's motto. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987. Honor Clarke's gritty style with this framed NHL Retired Jersey Numbers piece. It shows him along with 6'' replica jersey numbers of his uniform No. 16 with the Flyers. The item, which measures 21'' wide x 16'' high, is framed with high quality black molding. Limited to 250.
